Shahram Kholdi is a PhD Research Candidate at the University of Manchester, UK. Since 2005, he has been conducting research on the Politics of Memory in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the administration and management of the memory of the 1979 Revolution and the Pahlavi era and the role of political memoirs in shaping the collective memory of the 1979 Revolution. His doctoral thesis "the Politics of Memory in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Historiography of the 1979 Revolution" is currently under consideration for publication. Shahram Kholdi has taught as a graduate teaching fellow (2005-2008) and as a lecturer (fixed-term) in Middle Eastern Studies and Persian at the University of Manchester (2009-2010). He is the recipient of the University of Manchester's Graduate Teaching Fellowship Award (2005-2008) as well as the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies' Research Award (2007).
