Erfan Sabeti holds First Class Bachelor's degrees in Pharmacy & Bahai Studies from the Bahai Institute of Higher Education (BIHE), Iran. He also has a Master's degree, with Distinction, in Religious Studies from Lancaster University, UK, where he is currently working on his PhD thesis, Globalization of the Bahai Faith and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1960.
His research interests lie at the intersection of globalization and religion, particularly the rise and fall of new religious movements in the globalized world.
He has translated some 20 books into Persian, including Justice as Fairness (John Rawls), Liquid Love (Zygmunt Bauman), Fashionable Nonsense: Postmodern Intellectuals' Abuse of Science (Alan Sokal & Jean Bricmont), The Meditations (Marcus Aurelius), The Art of Always Being Right (Arthur Schopenhauer), and The Decalogue (Krzysztof Kieslowski).
